TV: Thursday, January 11, 2007, what to watch?

*** all times pacific ***

  • 11am: from 1984, StJohns vs Seton Hall on ESPN-Classic
  • 4pm: StJohns vs Seton Hall on ESPN, Prediction: The 1984 game is probably more fun!
  • 5pm, 930pm: Xavier at Fordham on CSTV. Atlantic-10 (14) action, with Xavier getting a hard-fought and hard-earned victory on the road facing the tough Fordham team. CSTV is picking up A-10 games this season, and with CSTV's co-operation with Comcast, we may eventually see A-10 games on standard cable (Versus). CSTV and Comcast are already doing this with "mtn" games of the Mountain West. Similarly this may happen to C-USA games. These are forward looking speculations on my part, by the way...
  • 530pm: Oregon State at Arizona, on FSN and Fox College Sports. Prediction: Arizona but not by a blowout. Jay John is a former Silver Fox assistant, so he'll pull back once they reach a margin of 40+ ;-)
  • 6pm: Game of the Day, on ESPN, Memphis at UAB. Mike Davis almost managed to beat Florida on road-neutral in the Orange Bowl. I predict almost beating Memphis as well :)
  • 730pm, Oregon at Arizona State on FSN and Fox College Sports. Prediction: Oregon by 10+, with 10+ 3-pointers made
  • 730pm, Washington at Stanford on FSN and Fox College Sports, although the listings on this one are a bit sketchy. This is sad if the game of Spencer Hawas and Jon Brockman vs the Lopez Twins is not televised. Come on FSN, what are you smoking? :-) Prediction: Washington in double overtime.
  • 930pm, 930am tomorrow: College Game Night on ESPN. Start time may be shifted.
