Monday night hoops and Week Preview (on TV)

Two games tonight, all times are PACIFIC; ADD +3 for Eastern time.

Live Games

  • 6pm: USC at Kansas on ESPN2. Prediction: Kansas by 20+ in a blowout
  • 730pm: Southern Utah at Washington on regional FSNs and Fox College Sports nationally. Lorenzo Romar needs all these cupcakes so he can blend all the talented new freshmen with the return players. Don't miss this game as you will get a chance to see Spencer Hawes, Q Pointdexter, Adrian Oliver and Phil Nelson before they become national stars. Incidentally, redshirt freshman Harvey Perry is transfering out of Washington, presumably because he couldn't crack the rotation.

    Repeats
  • 1pm and 3pm: The two games of the Pete Newell Classic on CSTV. Texas Tech vs Stanford, and Nevada vs California. The games were played in San Jose, so they are home-neutral for Stanford and Cal. Prediction: Stanford and Nevada (Ha!)
  • 2pm: UC Riverside at UCLA. Ben continues to work on his Hostess 12-pack :-)

    Looking forward to this week
  • Tuesday: Jimmy V Classic on ESPN, featuring Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Pitinoville (Louisville), and Texas A&M at LSU on ESPN Full Court
  • Wednesday: Memphis vs Tennessee on ESPN2
  • Thursday: Norcoss vs Oak Hill on ESPN2 (some of the best up-and-coming high school players, including SoCal speedster Brandon Jennings and Huggins-bound Michael Beasly). Details here
  • Friday: Iowa State at Iowa on ESPN+ and ESPN Full Court
  • Saturday: George Mason vs Duke, Washington at Gonzaga, Texas A&M at UCLA, Wisconsin at Marquette, Indiana at Kentucky
  • Sunday: LSU at Texas
