Derrick Williams, Arizona DESTROY the Duke Hype Devils

Derrick Williams and the Arizona Wildcats just DISMANTED the overhyped, over rated and spoiled brats of the Duke Pukedevils! Take that Ratzilla! :) This EPIC dismantling of the Dookies serves as revenge for Xavier's Elite 8 unfair zebra-induced loss to the Dookies. And "revenge" for Arizona's 2001 NCAA championship loss.

This was one of the best games EVER! Epic Duke Loss! :)

As far as the player of the year, how can you give it to Nolan Smith or Jimmer, when you get epic performances like this from Derrick Williams??? Maybe Kemba Walker, but no one is more epic than Derrick Williams! #1 NBA draft pick 2011!

And big props to CBS/TBS for finally having someone in the studio that like the one and only like the Charles Barkley who doesn't parrot the never-ending ACC/BigEast worship service that we get on ESPN, CBS, and traditional print media.


PS. According to a statistic shown during the Friday games on CBS, Duke's margin of loss (16 points) was the LARGEST in the Sweet 16 for a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament history. Oh my!

Carolina walk-ons beat Duke 3-0, and so do the scholarship players!

CBS has just showed its first prime-time regular season game on the television and that game was Duke visiting North Carolina. The game was very watchable, and it started the way it ended, with Carolina on top!

And what a way to win the game and the regular season championship. The Carolina walk-ons beat the Duke starting line-up 3-0! That was more than two minutes of game-time, not some random three-pointer fluke! The house of cards of Coach Rat has been exposed to a prime-time audience!

Other than Nolan Smith and Seth Curry, the rest of the Duke line-up is basically over-hyped over-rated spoiled brats. And it showed tonight. Big-time! Sure, Kylie or Katie or K-whatever his name is Irving is gone, but Duke is not the only team that lost important players during the season.


The importance of a true point-guard
If you needed any further evidence that a solid point-guard is of uttermost importance to a team, just look at the Carolina Tar-Heels the last two years - check the games with Larry Drew and check the games with Kendall Marshall. Conventional wisdom, and perhaps because of Dad's NBA career, had Larry Drew as the next big thing at Carolina point-guard. Instead, he won't even be a Q-Thomas, since he left mid-season. Marshall is indeed an interesting case. Unlike the last two championship point-guards (Everybody-Loves-Raymond and Ty Lawson), Marshall is not a beep-beeper, but more of a think-first, pass-first type of a point guard. This is a rather rare thing to see from a true freshman that didn't even run the team at the start of the season. Having top-caliber talent around can certainly make a point-guard even better.

Virginia Tech, you are awesome with capital V baby!!!

It's awesome baby! It's unbelievable baby! Virginia Tech has beaten the Dookies! Oh the joy! The jubilation! A fair and square win, with the Dookies fumbling and crumbling like a house of cards at the end of the game. It's unbelievable! Thank you Seth Greenberg for a great victory against the most overhyped team in the history of team sports!

I am surprised Vitale did not cry because his Dookies lost :-)

Obvious Scheyer foul screwed up by zebras costs Butler their championship

Once again, the zebras hand the dirty dookies another win. In what was a 100% obvious Scheyer foul, the zebras took two points away from Butler and a free throw by Gordon Howard, and those three points the zebras stole from Butler were what they needed to win the championship!

Yet another stolen victory by the Ratzilla! Booooooo!

Nooooooooo! Coach Satanefski can't win it! all!!

Nooooooooooooo! Duke and Coach Satanefski cannot win the championship! Butler MUST win! And we all know the NCAA, the zebras, and CBS establishment are going to do everything in their power to get the Dookies the win ;-) And how can you beat them, they foul a million times per possession (that's their "tough defense") but it rarely gets called! Nooooooooooooooo!

Zebras hand Duke Final Four berth (once again)

Why risk letting the players decide the games when it comes to the almighty Dookies? The zebras have to be the sixth-player. A very key and very wrong call towards the end of the game took a two-and-a-free-throw from Acy and an earlier fifth foul from Lumberjack-Zoubek, and instead gave the ball to the Dookies and broke Baylor's momentum. No wonder Duke has such a lovely record! It's six against one!

This of course is still not as bad as the highway robbery that was the Duke vs Xavier Elite 8 game in the early 00s, but still, this blown key call turned the momentum in Duke's favor.

Time for the 300+ NCAA colleges to DEMAND that the NCAA and referees be held accountable in a court of Law for twisting things in favor of Duke!

The overhyped Big Yeast collapses like a House of Cards

Every year, the constant hype of the Big East and the ACC by the ESPN family of networks is probably responsible for at least two non-deserving bids for teams from those two conferences. This year, the Big East is turning out to be the Big Hype! Georgetown got humiliated by the tough Ohio of Ohio from start to finish. Villanova stumbled thanks to a few lucky breaks and avoided a very embarrassing loss the #15. And Marquette, despite its Top 24 seed, could not beat the automatic-bid from the Pac-10.

And this brings us to Duke. It looks like the CBS and NCAA elites were feeling too uncomfortable with Duke not reaching the Final Four in quite a while, so they OLE'd the Duke region, creating an almost rose-pedaled path for the sleazy Dookies to make it to Indianapolis. Assuming of course they can escape the winner of PitinoVille vs California.

Free from Coach DraKula, Elliott Williams flourishes

If you needed any further evidence that Coach K is a DraKula that drains the life energy out of his players, look at how well Elliott Williams is doing at Memphis, a brand new team with a 19yo head-coach! One more player, free from the energy-drain of Coach DraKula is able to succeed in his post-Duke-transfer career.

And the Memphis performance today may have some Tigers fans questioning the coaching skills of Calipari. If a 19yo head-coach-kid is able to almost beat #1 Kansas, what was Calipari doing with a lot better players? :)

Coach K confesses he is a socialist dictator!

Yes, basketball fans, it took Stephen T. Colbert, DFA, to get Coach K, aka the Ratzilla, to confess to the world that he is a socialist dictator! That's right, he confessed to that! The only exception, Coach-K said, was when he was coaching the 2008 Olympics Team. Other than that, he is a socialist dictator.

But don't take my word for it, watch the interview for yourself! It's only six minutes long.

Also of interest is how Ratzilla answers the question about letting babies play in the NBA. His only concern was "when do we start recruiting?" and he seemed eager to be in the delivery room to start recruiting newborns!

Coach K has been able to fool many people with his mumbo-jumbo, but Colbert has EXPOSED him for the RAT that he is ;-)

"It didn't bother me a bit"

The "Salute" to the Final Four, an event that took place at the Fox theater in Detroit is an event worth watching (online, or reruns on CSTV). It is a basketball-festive type of an event, and Jim Nantz seems to do a pretty good job hosting it (which is a bit of a surprise). Maybe he pretends its golf ;-)

During that event, there was a gem of a moment. When interviewing Jay Wright, Jim Nantz mentioned how Villanova beat up UCLA and Duke by more than 20. At which point, Roy Williams said "it didn't bother me a bit", and then everyone LOL'ed because they realized this was a Duke-vs-North Carolina rivalry comment.

And it has indeed turned out great for UNC vs Duke. You may recall a few years ago, at the end of a Final Four game, Coach Ratzilla told "Dumb Ole Roy", "if you come to UNC, I'm gonna beat your ass". Well, well, well, Coach Ratzilla, it looks like you only got half of what you wanted! Because since Roy came to Carolina he has gone to three Final Fours, won one national title, may win another on Monday, and had an Elite 8 which should have been a Final Four if they didn't have the typical Carolina "losing interest" meltdown.

And recruiting-wise, UNC can get just about any player they want, while Coach K-zilla is loading up his roster with players that would make Adolph Rupp proud but can't get you to a Final Four ;-)

Seth Curry, you are an idiot!

We praised Seth Curry for leaving the university of no-evolution, but sadly, his new destination is about as sad as his original school. He has decided to transfer to ...Duke! Yikes!

Welcome to being glued on the bench for the rest of your life Seth Curry, because you are never going to play floor-slapping defense like some of the other stiffs and zombies that Coach Ratzilla has on his bench.

Villanova, you deserve a trip to the Final Four!

Great Job Villanova and Jay Wright! Great job Rollie for picking him as an assistant! Great job NCAA for putting Nova in Philly! In what promises to be a very dramatic in-state rivarly beat-down in the Elite 8, Villanova is just one win away from the Final Four. And having known and played Pitt in the past, they won't get surprised or shocked in the second half like most non-Big-East teams are.



But this post is to CELEBRATE the HUMILIATION of the clueless DIRTY RAT! He was clearly outsmarted by Jay Wright, as if Casparov was playing chess against the average McDonalds employee.

Who in their right mind tries a three-forward line-up against Nova, including a lumbering seven-footer that doesn't even play against most teams? Three lumbering bigs against the mobile and agile and versatile Nova crew? How stupid was that? It was Coach-K-stupid!

Hey, floor-slappers, where was your defense last night?

Hey, three-point shooters, you couldn't even slap the floor last night!

Recap of the last block of games

The NCAA must be worried. They sent a secret memo to the zebras instructing them to call six fouls against Binghampton in the first three minutes of the game. Yes, you read right! Six fouls in the first three minutes, that's like two fouls per minute. Just to make sure that their starters get in foul trouble and their game plan is derailed, giving the Dookies a must better chance at winning and giving CBS some good ratings in the next rounds :)

But that's okay, AJ Abrams and space-eater Pittman will be waiting the Dookies on Saturday and hopefully Texas will beat Duke!

The most exciting games were probably the two games that many had circled on their calendars, and it is no coincidence CBS scheduled them at the end of the day, in order to bring in a bigger audience.

VCU looked toast after the first half, but slowly and steadily they chipped away at UCLA, and they came very close, oh-so-close, one jump shot close to pulling yet another NCAA tourney upset. We tip our hats to the VCU Rams! Their 2007 victory over the Dookies will remain priceless through the centuries. And that Larry Sanders dude is gonna make some big bucks when he goes professional!

The other dramatic game was Western Kentucky's "how to guide" on falling apart and losing a game you had already won. A bad out-of-bounds call by the zebras did not help the Hilltoppers but ultimately they managed to hold on to dear life and make it to the second round where they'll face SoftZaga but not GoneZaga.

Pettigrew was the one who solidified the victory for W.Ky from the free throw line. He was 1 of 4 from the line, but at a very critical juncture at the end of the game he went 2 from 2, giving his team a breathable margin.

We keep pounding the selection committee for picking all these ugly and undeserving Big Ten teams, and once again, Illinois without Chester Frasier was clearly not a #5 seed. In-fact, they were probably not a #5 seed with him. But without him, were they really a better team than St Mary's with Patty Mills?

And since we are back to St Mary's, we would like to politely tell the NCAA selection committee with its clueless chairman who doesn't even know college hoops has an exhibition season: F-U NCAA SELECTION COMMITTEE OF 2009. YOU SCREWED UP THE MID-MAJORS for the sake of crappy Big-Ten teams (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois).

The fourth game of the nightcap was Oklahoma playing the "reformed" Todd Bozeman club. The most dramatic part of that game was a wild wrestling move on Blake Griffin. Just like the NFL protects quarterbacks and the NBA protects star players, the NCAA should come in and hand out big punishments to "thuggish" moves like that, so as to discourage future recurrence. By "big" we mean long suspensions, not just a slap on the wrist with an ejection. We mean blocks of games, like 10 or more games! This is not the NHL or WWF/WWE!

Thank you Al Skinner for almost beating the Dookies! It was close, oh so close! Now you have soften them Dookies up, and prepared them for a nice beating by their nemesis, the Fighting Garys! This will make it an ever better win for Maryland, and mark the "Return of the Gary" to the NCAA tournament!

Go Maryland, go! Beat those nasty dirty Dookies! The game will tip off around 340pm eastern tomorrow on ESPN. It is semifinal #2, so the exact tipoff time will depend on when the first game ends (Florida State vs North Carolina)

North Carolina sweeps Duke this season!

This was quite an interesting game. It felt like Duke's game plan was not to lose the game by more than single-digits. That certainly explains how they played, by taking very few chances and instead choosing to hold the ball and take time off the clock, and take their chances with their three-point percentages.

This strategy worked in the first half where they outplayed UNC, just like their first game at Cameron Oven Stadium. However, UNC started pulling away in the second half, but the Dookies simply refused to take chances and instead played the game so as not to lose, instead of playing to win.

That resulted in a close game that saved face for the Ratzilla, but the result was a stressful but relatively straight-forward North Carolina victory.

While the Duke defense made adjustments (read athletic and more talented Elliot Williams over pasty and fatty Greg Paulass) to Lawson, Lawson once again showed a killer instinct by making critical plays towards the end of the game to seal the victory for the TarHeels. And he certainly has a lot of decoys to use, from Hansbro to Ellington to Danny Green.


Tidbits and Factoids from the game
The "classy" Coach K was caught by the CBS cameras locking horns (literally) with one of the zebras. So classy, so ...Olympian!

Ol'Roy iced his own player by taking a time-out while Ty Lawson was in the middle of shooting two free throws.

Hansbrough managed to get his standing ovation by ...fouling out of the game in the last few seconds and exiting the game with just seconds left, thus sparing Ol'Roy the decision of whether to call a time-out and take him out and cause the anger of Ratzilla.

The Zebras hand the Dookies yet another win

I'm sure you all heard by now the buzz of yet another game "given" to the Dookies by the Zebras. Call after call during the crucial part of the game went in the Dookies favor, while the Pope of College Hoops was about to crack his players melons open with a chair. Classy guy! But it's okay, because he prays before every game ;-)

If you think I'm imaging things because I don't like the Pukies, think again! March-to-Madness has assembled evidence that shows a Dookie travel three times in a single possession and get no call!

Shameless: Zebras hand the game to Duke in the first half

This game was an embarrassment for the ACC. The so-called "Duke defense" in the first half was basically getting away with murderous fouls and because they could get away with fouls they were able to steal the ball on-demand. It's not hard to have a big run when you can do whatever you want!

From there on, Wake Forest made a brave and glorious comeback, but considering the home-court advantage it was just not enough to win the game for Wake Forest.

And on top of this we had to bear with the total idiot calling the game and "inducing fouls". Yes, that idiot is of course Tim Brando. Thankfully the G-Man, the only fair and balanced Dookie out there, saved the day.

This was also one of a few games where each team had a pair of same-name players, the Williams and the Smiths!

So now onto The Gary and Maryland to avenge this unfair Duke win and set the record straight!

Great job BC Eagles! Great job Al Skinner! Everyone should have clam chowder tonight! The BC Eagles have completed a home-court sweep of the two Carolina schools but the most exciting of both is the WIN over the Puke Dirt Devils! Go BC Go Eagles!

As we mentioned when Roy Williams took the UNC job, Ol'Roy would SMOKE Coach Ratzilla recruiting-wise, and we were VERY right. Look at the recruits, the rankings and more importantly, the SCOREBOARD!

Career advice/prediction: Nolan Smith, escape the Cave!

Now this would sound just plain silly, except we have a great track record in that in predicted the departure of Boykin and Taylor King very accurately. So our advice to Nolan Smith is to ESCAPE from the dungeons of Coach Krapula. He may be saying all sorts of crapola that makes Duke sound like Camelot, but the fact of the matter is that Coach Krapula drains the potential and life force of his players with each passing year. The earlier they bolt out, the better it is for their careers!

Just look at what he has done to countless star athletes, from Duhon, to Demarcus Nelson to that other kid from Texas. He "de-clawed" them offensively and turned them into zombies of what they used to be ;-)

So, Nolan Smith needs to get out of there and go someplace where he can actually grow and reach his own organic ceiling, and not be pigeon-holed by whatever Coach Krapula thinks he should be doing during the game. Which for most players means grabbing rebounds, jumping over the reporters, and slapping the floor ;-)

There plenty of potential destinations for NS, there's the family connection at Louisville, and he can certainly learn a lot from Pitino, but there are countless other BCS and high mid-major programs where his star would shine.

Dirty Dookies get their head handed to them 101 times!

Dirty Dookies Done Dirt Cheap! Hip-hip Hooray! The Dookies LOST! The Dookies lost to "Ou-en-si"! The Dookies lost!

But before we get to that, we would like to point out the dirty play of yet another Dookie, this time Kyle Singler. It's a good thing there are cameras everywhere, because it exposes more and more of the dirty plays that go in the game. And by exposing them, it helps clean up the game!

If the Ratface-K was the papal coach he thinks he is, he should have suspended Kyle Singler out of his own free will for dirty play. It was a totally unnecessary elbow incident, and as the Coach of the National Team, and a "guardian of the game", Ratface-K should have made a strong statement by suspending Kyle Singler for a handful of games.

But of course we all know he won't, because he's not the Pope of college basketball, he is a pretentious weasel :-)

Okay, enough Colbert-Report-inspired Dookie-hating, now let's talk about the game :)


North Carolina at Duke Game Recap
Brett Favre ruined ESPN's big day. Instead of the family of networks talking about the UNC at Duke game non-stop, they had to waste countless hours on yet another fake Brent Favr (or whatever his name is) "retirement".

North Carolina started the game on fire. And we don't mean that as exaggeration! By the second media time-out, they were on pace to score 130 points. Two of their struggling rotation players, Neon-Deon Thompson and Bobby Lasor-Frasor were making just about everything they shot.

But we all know that was Camelot, and reality sank and so did their shooting percentages, while the Dookies starting sinking threes left and right.

During this segment UNC had a "Kansas-style" epic melt-down, with Roy Williams being "too proud" to call a time-out and stem the tide, following the Dean Smith rule-of-thumb of letting the players fight through it and figure it out.

But then reality sank in for the Dookies in the second half, and UNC slowly but steadily took over the game. Despite some mistakes and sprees by the Dookies, the game was never in-doubt, and UNC had the closest thing to a coasting (for such an intense rivarly game) to a big victory.


Fallout
It was really funny how both Dick Vitale and Mike Patrick got really excited when Duke score or made a run ;-)

Vitale got in trouble at Cameron! His "base" told him that he's not praising the Dookies enough and he is praising UNC too much. For that, Vitali apologized publicly and live on the air ;-)

Roy's jacket fellout as he got angry at Tyler Hansbro for not calling out a jaw-breaker screen for one of his guards.

Watching the first half of the game validated what many people have known: North Carolina is a defense-optional resort :)

It was quite interesting to note that Ole Roy went to a four-shorties rotation towards the end of the game, with Green playing the four-spot, in an attempt to fight off the pressure and have better free throw shooting.
