  • Hamilton of Miami of Florida gets a top 100 of 2008. Also at Recruiting Wars, the top 40 players of the class of 2009 and which schools they are considering, a comprehensive and must read and bookmark post by Goodman.
  • A cool idea for an online newsletter-blog hybrid for Marquette fans
  • more coming up in the next 59 minutes

  • If you lost track on how many transfers has Donnie Jones managed to pick up in his few hours at Marshall you are not alone. But Goodman keeps track of them. It's three now, including recent Floridian transfer Brandon Powell (along with P-Mac and Spann of Georgetown). Two Final Four transfers on their roster, not bad for Marshall!
  • Randy Hill of FauxSports takes an early look at the 2008 NBA Draft. Another take on the 08 draft by Goodman. This is not a recipe, but mayo, rose and OJ are included ;-)
  • A couple of sad news, Al Williams, a member of the 1969 Drake Final Four team died at the age of 60, while Vandy-to-Missouri transfer DeMarre Carroll was shot in the ankle outside a club. Coach (and uncle) Mike Anderson said that everyone is going to be fine.
  • To balance the sad news with some good news, here at the latest good news in sports, including stories on Derek Fisher, Drew Brees, and the New Orleans Saints cheerleaders.
  • New Orleans head coach Buzz Williams will instead become an assistant coach at Marquette
  • Gary Parrish looks at the future of the Godfather, Sonny Vaccaro.
  • Joining the commentary parade on Billy Gillispie and Kentucky is Mike DeCourcy
  • A Sea of Blue looks at all the commentary on Gillispie and Kentucky and wonders whether he has changed the perception of UK basketball

  • Bob McClellan of Rivals via Yahoo Sports posts an excellent write-up on the top returning rebounders spotlighting former LSU forward Kentrell Gransberry. Get to know the names on his list. Arizona Reid is probably the coolest of those names!
  • Bob also looks at the top thieves - the returning steals leaders. He spotlights Jerell McNeal of Marquette. Others mentioned are former scoring machine Paul Gause of Seton Hall, and a number of mid-majors.
  • One more Rivals on Yahoo Sports link. This time Andrew Skwara opens up his mailbag and answers reader questions
  • And the last Rivals on Yahoo Sports story is Purdue's Chris Kramer's bounceback. Kramer earned his PT as a gutsy, Keady-type of a player. Watch out for Purdue next year Big Eleven!
  • A story on the U19 team by CarolinaBlue.com with emphasis on neon Deon Thompson
