I am breaking my record in posts today! Here is the weekly "All You Can Eat Fridays" post...
The Incoherent Segment
It was refreshing to see the Tom Penders weave. Weave action and hoisting random three-pointers while the defense is dazed and confused by all the weave action
Arizona looked a lot different on paper last summer. 10+ talented players, all figuring to be part of the rotation (similar to North Carolina, but not as talented). Fast-forward to right now, Arizona is really a five-man rotation, with three spot-up duty backups (Dillon, Brielmaier, Hill). Absent are JP Prince (transfer), Nic Wise (currently unknown), Kirk Walters (injury). Tangara and Onobun make occasional guest appearances.
Heard on TV: Greg Oden and the Odenettes! (I forgot who said it)
The Negativity Segment
A correction for the all-knowning Billy Packer: The 2005 North Carolina championship team lost to Santa Clara, not Saint Mary's in November 2004. Mark it down, Billy Packer was wrong, during the Virginia at North Carolina broadcast
CJ Giles may have saved Jay John from the hot seat. Who else can get a McDonalds All-American at Corvalis? Even a "broken" one. Ouch!
A tape-delayed congratulations to Cal Tech for losing their ... losing streak.
Truthiness segment: I can't help but feel that Aaron Gray is over-rated :)
Funniest TV analysts - in my opinion, not a scientific study
1. The trio of Bill Raftery, Sean McDonough, and Jay Bilas (ESPN)
2. Marques Johnson (FSN)
3. Bill Raftery (ESPN, CBS)
4. Pete Gillan (or Gillen?) (CSTV)
