TV What to watch: Tuesday January 16, 2007

*** all times pacific; add +3 for eastern time ***
*** predictions are on the wild side, not the logical side ***

  • 4pm, Game of the Day!, UConn at Pitt on ESPN2, with Dick Vitale!. You know that you have arrived as a program when you get two back to back games with Dick Vitale! This year the game is a bit different, as Pitt is the old and mature and consensus favorite team, while UConn is full of freshmen and inexperienced players. Logically this should be an easy win for Pitt, but don't count out Calhoun!
  • 4pm, Iowa at Indiana on ESPN2. Catch their 2000 matchup on ESPN-Classic at 11am. Prediction: Indiana. First Steve Alford visit at IU since the coaching change...
  • 6pm, Kentucky at South Carolina on ESPN. The NIT Dynasty (South Carolina) has to win this game if they want to advance to the NCAA level and build their dynasty there. Prediction: Dave Odom in a close game
  • 6pm, Texas at Oklahoma State on ESPN2. Catch another installment of the Kevin Durant Show. You may be looking at the #1 pick of the 2007 draft (even if Greg Oden declares)
  • 6pm, 10pm, 5am, UAB at Memphis on CSTV. The AASAA offense visits Mike Davis. A statement win it would be for Mike Davis as Memphis is once again looking at an undefeated conference season. Prediction: Memphis by a lot.
  • 940pm, 940am, College Gamenight on ESPN. Start time may shift. 20-minute edition.
  • 3am, Winthrop at UNC-Asheville, obviously tape-delayed, on Fox College Sports
  • 4 games on ESPN Full Court, including two ACC games and George Mason
