Phil Jackson, the Zen Master, has released a new basketball training DVD on defense.
John Wooden is not shy about letting people know what he thinks. As he was swarmed by the ESPN crew covering the UCLA regional of the CBE/Guardians classic, he shared with the audience some of his thoughts. For example, he emphatically pointed out that UCLA's Ben Howland success was on the defensive end. He also (indirectly) criticized the NCAA/officials for allowing the game to become too physical. Both of these I absolutely agree with. But I certainly not agree with taking away the dunk :)
What if Bruce Weber got the Helen of Troy (Eric Gordon) and Derrick Rose? Can you imagine a backcourt of Rose and Gordon, with Dookie Scheyer coming off the bench for good measure?
Did Pitino buy Gardner Webb t-shirts for his team or not? Dick Vitale was stirring the pot...
Vitale jealous of Derrick Rose for being on the cover of ESPN the Magazine's college basketball preview? He wasn't joking folks! He wanted his bold dome to be featured on the cover! And if you happened to watch ESPN News's signature program, the Hot List, you may have seen Dick Vitale say this "I'm so sexy".
JJ Hickson scored 30+. This guy was under the radar too, below Johnnie Flynn of the Flynnstones!
