Vitale on Mike and Mike discussing college hoops for a change

Dick Vitale appeared on Mike and Mike in the morning in his regular Monday morning slot (720am eastern) on ESPN2 and ESPN Radio, and finally started talking college basketball, after crying about the Notre Dame losses.

Vitale used the Kansas football and BCS example versus the Kentucky loss and the NCAA tournament to make a case on why college basketball is so much better in determining a basketball championship than college football baby. He asterisked that by saying "if they don't panic at Kentucky".

As I predicted last week, Vitale complained that he has to prepare for Gardner-Webb for the Coaches vs Cancer Final Four at MSG this week. He was already prepared for Kentucky baby! He also mentioned that when Gardner Webb sent him lots of cupcakes a few years back, he ate them all! Go Vitale!

Dick Vitale has a motivational DVD out, and the proceeds go to the V found. More details on Dick Vitale's website.

And an ESPN programming note, Sportscenter's Hummer All Access Press Pass will be looking at college basketball all through this week!
