The Sunday College Hoops Round-up

  • DeCourcy talks about Bob Huggins and his sink or swim teaching tactics. This includes assistant head coaches. Read on to find out more!
  • DeCourcy also revisits the old question: To Foul or not to Foul? when you have a three point lead with just seconds remaining on the clock.
  • DeCourcy also chimes in on the third CBI post-season tourney. And here is my opinion on the CBI.
  • Last but not least from DeCourcy, he criticizes not so mildly, the 2009 and beyond 16-team Big East conference tournament.
  • A Sea of Blue summarizes the Billy Gillispie coaching without a contract situation. And they have produced a great table showing week 1 of the Bloggers Poll Top 25.
  • Roses are blooming says Jeff Goodman's blog, where he also informs us that touted forward Erik Murphy has trimmed his list down to seven schools. Check Goodman's blog for the list.
  • Rush the Court recaps Saturday, which includes Stanford's loss at Siena. Those who believe in the cyclical nature of things will point out at Stanford's loss to Siena in the NCAA Tourney almost 20 years ago.
  • Rush the Court discusses Gillispie's non-contract contract as well.
  • The CAA Hoops blog has a weekend roundup. Speaking of the CAA, here is a mid-major glory days book to put under someone's tree: Cinderella: Inside the rise of mid-major basketball from Michael Litos.
  • March Madness All Season predicts today's games.
  • Storming the Floor gives some PR to the teams that have been hiding from the national TV, such as PitinoVille, HuggieVille, Salukisville, and more!
  • Storming the Floor also sings the praises of Mayo, but not all the praises go to OJ Mayo. There's another Mayo that has created a stir!
  • SEC Hoops TGTBTD presents the Blogger's Poll Top 25 while tracking the movement of teams since Week Zero (the preseason poll).
  • This is a good day to get your basketball detox, because starting Monday there will be dozens and dozens of games on TV to watch. I kid you not folks, there's a ton of them. Check our long and winding College Hoops TV listings for more details.
  • And something from the NBA world, Free Darko at the WCB blog.
  • Just today we have added this blog to BallHype.com! This is a Web 2.0 site with a sports focus! If you have any sports blogs, you may want to add them there!
