  • Blogging live from the Stonehedge celebrating Summer Solstice (not!) :-)
  • After dealig with performance enhancing drugs in baseball, Congress will look at performance enhancing drugs for bloggers ;-)
  • Thanks for the link to the Paging Jim Shikenjanski blog. Their blog focuses mainly on Minnesota sports. They also feature a sneak preview from the Big Ten Network (which is set to go live in August 2007). They also react to the recent Father's day stories on Tubby Smith and son Saul Smith.

  • On the stock market front, Starbucks hits a 20-month low. And now back on topic:
  • A minor league baseball team pokes fun at Billy the Diva Donovan
  • What was Memphis missing from its last couple of teams? Perhaps a super star? Gary Parrish walks (!) and talks with super frosh Derrick Rose. A three-page story along with a video segment. Rose is one and done talent-wise, but his addition to an already loaded and talented Memphis team could be the difference between a Final Four and another Elite 8. Rose means that Calipari will get even more air time next season (if that's possible). But kidding aside, Derrick Rose will probably be a very efficient and effective player from day one at Memphis. I am officially on the bandwagon, which will probably jinx them ;-)
  • Goodman's blog looks forward to the 2007-2008 UCLA team and specifically Josh Shipp, then looks at foru reasonable and qualified candidates to replace Reggie Theus at New Mexico State. He also has some good news for Arizona Wildcats fans: A member of the Moody Blues (Kirk Walters) has been given a medical shirt and will return for another year in 2007-2008.
  • A new mock draft at Fox Sports. Another mock draft at Sportsline

  • A Sea of Blue has an update on the Supreme Court looking at recruiting middle-school football players by the Brentwood Academy.
  • Congratulations to UCLA for winning 100 team titles. Ben Howland could have had that honor twice as his team reaches the Final Four back to back but lost in the Final last year and semi final this year by the Florida Gatorade
  • A round up of round ups at March Madness All Season at CHN.
  • Kyle "420" McAlarney is excited to return to the Golden Domers. As you may recall the New Yorker was suspended from the team because of his choice of herbs ;-)
stories, but not all of them.
  • Gary Parrish reports that Memphis big man Kareem Cooper is visiting UTEP. What's the link? The UTEP head coach Tony Barbee was an assistant at Memphis the last few years. Cooper was part of the Laurenberg Institute dream team that committed together to Calipari's Experiment.
  • Speaking of Gary Parrhis, here is his Top 25 of the 2007-2008 season as of June 18, 2007.
  • Rivals on Yahoo Sports looks at the remaining 31 early entries in the NBA draft. 58 had initially announced.

  • Top 25 teams by ANdy Katz at ESPN
  • Joey Brackets has updated his brackets for 2007 as of June 20, 2007. Joe Lunardi's Bracketology.
  • Coming soon I will be posting a work in progress but massive 2007-2008 preview type thing. Not sure exactly what it will be, but it will be long and unreadable :-)
