Weekend update

  • Latest recruiting news: Two transfer out of the Calipari Experiment, one 2010 changes his Ohio State mind, and a Stan Heath era Arkansas player transfers out. More at Recruiting Wars. More on the Memphis transfers at CBS Sportsline.
  • Every 2007 NCAA College Basketball Tournament game on DVD!
  • Billy the Diva agrees (or does he????) to a 6-year $21 million deal with Florida. And he'll want to go back to the Orlando Tragic by Monday ;-) Interestingly his contract is one year longer than his five-year NBA ban :-) ESPN has this story as well, with the Urban Legend getting a salary boost as well at $3.25m per year. And if perhaps Urban Legend wins another national championship then he will leapfrog Donovan salary-wise :-)
  • Goodman's blog is getting so popular I get "Server busy" messages when I visit the site... In today's episode a feature on NC State of 2007-2008 (point guard?), Scott Burrell returns to UConn, and two transfer out of Memphis.
  • Once upon a time Andy Katz's Daily Word was required reading each day. Now Katz's blog is buried in between noisy bandwidth-wasting multimedia crapola and ESPN Insider membership.
  • A Sea of Blue has a round-up of the latest news, including a story at the U of M Tigers blog listing the top 20 attendance leaders (per game) for the 2006-2007 season. Look at Boeheim, he got 22 home games. Holy cow! On the low end Creighton had 14 home games.
  • BYU's Rashaun Broadus pleags guilty to a lesser reckless driving charge
  • Dick "Hoops" Weiss blogs that forward Mike Davis has been cleared by Big Brother (NCAA) to play for the Seton Hall Pirates of the New Jersey Carribean in 2007-2008.
  • HoopsCoach at WordPress blogs about relationships, and teaching 24x7
  • The CAAHoops blog has a number of updates, including a post on Anthony Grant mania, who was a Billy Donovan flip-flop away from taking over Florida basketball.
  • Speaking of which, Beyond the Arc at MSNBC also talks about Billy Donovan's flip-flop... More on this from Gary Parrish
