Have some Mayo with your turkey! No, this has not transformed into a Food blog! USC and super-frosh OJ Mayo will participate in the inaugural Anaheim classic airing on the ESPN family of networks on Thanksgiving day. You see Pac-10 games are mostly on FSN (with a few on CBS or ABC), so ESPN and USC had to find ways to showcase OJ Mayo to a broader national audience. These will be an exempt tourney, Nov 22-25, with games on ESPN2 and ESPNU. Comcast ADD ESPNU NOW! ESPN, make it happen!
Nice story by Andrew Skwara at Rivals via Yahoo Sports (say that ten times fast). Basketball wiseman and DePaul head coach Jerry Wainwright breaks down the ten players of the U19 team that played in Europe a few weeks ago. The ten players include super-frosh Michael Beasley, seven "BCS" players and two high-profile mid-major players. Nice season preview type of post! It will be added to our Gigantic 2007-2008 Season Preview Links
Despite coaches leaving left and right during the spring/summer, Dana Altman is still at Creighton. And he gets profiled by Goodman's blog. Also: Good news for NCState as Tracy Smith is cleared by the NCAA. Also some props are given to Vermont's Mike Trimboli.
DeCourcy picks a national champion among five finalists. His final five (not a BSG reference) are not really a surprise, all five of them made it to the Elite 8 last year (two of which went to the Final Four)
