Not so private investigations

  • A Sea of Blue keeps track of the athletic programs investigated by the New York AG. Apparently this AG is able to recall :-) A number of high profile schools are on the list such as UCLA, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Oregon, Georgetown, Louisville, and Pitt. This could get nasty but perhaps this could spearhead a reform in the way student-athletes are treated financially.
  • Recruiting news at Recruiting Wars. Also a list of links to rankings and ratings of the classes of 2007, 2008, 2009 and beyond.
  • Lots of updates from Goodman today: with the pre-season NIT field of 16 announced with Ohio State, Washington, Boeheim and Gillispie-less A&M leading the way. Also, a quick update on the new kids on the Donovan block, Jon Stewart at Dayton, Don Monson at Long Beach State.
  • Dick Hoops Weiss addresses the Big Ten expansion talk from the Rutgers perspective
  • Ole Roy and Van Chancellor preparing for their 2007 Hall of Fame induction ceremony
  • The CAA Hoops blog goes Comedy Central with Majerus in a leotard!
  • UNLV coach Lon Kruger will have a heart procedure. Hopefully everything will go smoothly!
