A very interesting story at A Sea of Blue on Billy Gillispie and his houses. One of the funny tidbits mentioned in the story: When Billy G invited his UTEP team to watch the selection sunday show (in early March), they noticed that his Xmas tree was still up. March is after all Christmas for college hoops fans :)
If you missed it, text messaging remains banned with January being another opportunity to change it. Needless to say (at least some)coaches want texting back. But on the plus side, my carrier pigeon business has been picking up! They are not prohibited by the NCAA rules. College coaches, drop me a line! I'll give you a special discount if you buy 100 or more carrier pigeon messages this month!... Reaction to the non-ruling ruling by Gary Parish at CBS Sportsline
And some good news from the NCAA: They have given Texas Tech center Esmir Rizvic an additional half-season of eligibility. As you may recall he was "taken out" by a vicious Longar Longar foul (yes, a Kelvin Sampson slugfest recruit - what did you expect?) in early January and missed the rest of the season.
CHN's 144 previews continue with Seton Hall (now with Gonzo), Missouri (now with 40 minutes of Fun), UNC Wilmington of the CAA, and the LeBron Zips.

Want to recap where the underclassmen went in the NBA Draft? Bracketology 101 has a recap of the 32 underclassmen, six of which went undrafted. The most high profile of the unselected were Dwight Brewington (would have been first deaf player drafted), and former Kentucky and Cal transfers Shagari Alleyne (height is not enough for the NBA draft) and Dom McGuire.
Evansville's Jason Holsinger scored 26, as a member of a travelling team of college players playing in Australia.
