Ouch for the UAB Blazers. They may be celebrating after the commitment of the second best center in the class of 2009, DeMarcus Cousins, but today they got their head handed to them on silver platter in front of a national audience on CSTV, on senior day. Ouch!
Meanwhile the Calipari Tigers played like real Tigers, and Joey Dorsey played like a Ben Wallace clone, something that Calipari wants to see every game, or at least in games that matter ;-)
And according to statistics by CSTV and Steve Lapas, Calipari is only the second college basketball coach to have three consecutive 30+ win seasons. The other one? You guess the other one. Hint: Not Coach K, not Bob Knight, not Roy Williams, not Rick Pitino.
And in dramatic and exciting fashion, the regular season champion of the Big East was determined earlier today on the court, as the top two teams squared off at Georgetown. Read on to find out who won :)
Meanwhile, congratulations to the Winthrop Eagles, they have joined Cornell as the first two automatic bids into the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
If you missed any games from the ESPN family of networks, you can see them again at ESPN 360. Also be sure to check our College Hoops tv listings, which will get updated after the time change tonight.
